Becoming an ADI has many advantages; your yearly earnings are only limited by the number of hours you work. Driver Training is an expanding industry, and BDT is expanding with it. We offer an ADI training course; on completion you may be able to work as a BDT instructor or work as a freelance trainer.
The DSA, who regulate driving instructors have a three-part examination that you are required to pass. You must have held a full UK or European Union driving licence for at least 4 years without a suspension, and therefore must be at least 21 years old.
The DSA's course is in three parts, which are:
Part 1: an IT based theory test
Part 2: a practical test of your driving ability
Part 3: a practical test of your ability to instruct
You must take and pass all three parts of the examination in this order and must complete the whole examination within two years of passing the theory test.
Cost:
ADI training course £2500 - course material included
DSA fees for tests and registration to be paid by the candidate
BDT offer opportunities for candidates suitable and interested in becoming a BDT Instructor/Franchisee, please contact us for further details.
